07th May 2011 – REGGIO CALABRIA /“I Longobardi del sud” (23/06/2011)

The volume ''I Longobardi del Sud'' (Giorgio Bretschneider Editore) by Giuseppe Roma, director of the Department of Archaeology and History of Art at the Calabria University, has just been published. The work proposes a reconstruction of the multi-ethnicity of what today is meant by the word “Longobards”, with a particular view to the events linked to the presence of the Longobards in the Regions of South Italy. The various scientific papers are the results of the archaeological researches that in the last decades have contributed to enhance the Longobard civilization in the framework of a wider transformation of the late-ancient society.
